What a place to stay!
Doggone Holidays have two pet friendly holiday houses at Coolum Beach. We stayed in Coolum Beach Sunrise, which was only one street back from the beach.
The house is fully self contained, with three bedrooms, a comfortable loungeroom, and a well equipped kitchen. The floors are timber, and dogs are welcome inside. The yard is fenced and secure.
There is a lovely boardwalk along the beachfront which is a nice place to stroll either at sunrise or sunset. If you go across the main road to the beach and walk left a little way, there is a great dog off leash beach where you and your dog can walk, run and swim for miles. It’s not patrolled so not a good idea to go out too far.
If you go across the road and turn right, there is the patrolled beach where it’s safe for you to swim and bodyboard, however you’ll need to leave your dog behind as dog aren’t permitted there.
There is a supermarket within walking distance, and also the best Thai restaurant I’ve been to in a long time. While we were there, some diners took an outside table and had their dog at their feet.
We loved this place and look forward to staying again sometime.
